When Tony and Barbara Baroni moved from New York to West Ashley in the early 1980s, they quickly realized something was missing – authentic New York-style pizza. So in 1983 they set up shop and began serving their new community the best in traditional, hand-tossed New York pizza made the right way – with generations-old family recipes and those same delicious flavors they loved back home!

What began as a small neighborhood pizzeria quickly grew into a local favorite. As word spread, so did our menu – adding hot and cold “grinders” (sandwiches), homemade pastas, fresh salads, and other classic Italian offerings. By 1997, we had outgrown our first kitchen and moved into our current home in the Ashley Crossing Shopping Center. Since then, Baroni’s has remained a beloved mainstay in West Ashley and Charleston for generations of families who know and love the true taste of New York pizza.

At Baroni’s, we believe great food starts with great ingredients and a commitment to doing things the right way – the old-school way. Our dough is made fresh in-house every day, our produce is hand-selected daily, and we never use artificial additives or preservatives. Every dish is made to order with the utmost care, using only premium ingredients and attention to quality.
